Jack and I travelled up to Arichat last weekend to play a flute & harp recital at the beautiful St. John's Centre for the Arts. Many thanks to Musique Royale and Margaret Herdman for having us and for all the hospitality! We played works by Andres, Gluck, Piazzolla, Debussy, Bach, Tournier, Clarke, Shankar, and Morlock.
Jack and I performed our fall program one final time on November 12 as part of Inner Space Concerts in a house in Dartmouth. Inner Space Concerts takes classical chamber music into homes in the Halifax area for very intimate concert experiences.
Jack and I played a Cookie Concert in Lunenburg on Saturday! Presented through Musique Royale, these concerts are monthly, family-friendly events that take place at the Lunenburg School for the Arts. We played works by Andres, MacKelvie, Bach, Shankar, Morlock, Debussy, Gluck, Tournier, and Clarke. Thanks so much to our lovely audience and hosts.
Last night, Musique Royale released a concert that Jack and I recorded at St. John's Church in Lunenburg. The concert featured two short pieces by Elgar and Mendelssohn, as well as a four-movement suite by Jean Cras, and a brand new work written for us by Bob Bauer, "Tears in the Fragile Web of Memory". The concert will remain online for a few weeks following the release day, and is free to watch! Thanks to Musique Royale for presenting us, to Bob for writing this powerful new piece, to Arts Nova Scotia for funding that, to Jack for being always such a wonderful duo partner, and to Dario for the audio/visual wizardry.
