This week, The Bombadils were part of PEI's amazing Festival of Small Halls, playing 3 concerts in 3 different PEI venues.

Canadian Folk Music Awards

Congratulations to the Bombadils who took home Vocal Group of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards in St. John's Newfoundland! I went up with them to play in their showcase at the Ship Pub and got to attend the awards ceremonies and have a blast in St. John's.

Sensory Accessible Concert with the Bombadils

I was delighted to have another chance to play one of Cecilia Concerts' Sensory Accessible shows at the Central Library, this time with the Bombadils. Thanks to Jennifer King, Anna Plaskett, Cecilia Concerts, the Library, and awesome team of facilitators who make these events possible!

Bombadils and Magpies

The Bombadils shared a bill at the Carleton last week with a lovely band from the UK - The Magpies! This has been an exciting time for the Bombadils, as they just won Americana/Bluegrass Recording of the year from Music Nova Scotia and have been nominated in three categories at the Canadian Folk Music Awards: Vocal Group of the Year, Ensemble of the Year, and Single of the Year (for Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming). 

Folk Music Ontario

In October, I joined the Bombadils for a whirlwind showcase at Folk Music Ontario. The conference took place this year in London!

Bombadils August Tour

The Bombadils went on tour in August in Ontario and PEI - Parry Sound, Bobcaygeon, Perth, Toronto, Whitby, and Mont-Carmel!

Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming Video

The Bombadils recently released a live video for their song "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming", filmed in a backyard in west end Halifax! This is an arrangement of a song Luke wrote from their new album "Dear Friend", created for live quartet with Scott Kingsley on bass.

Bombadils Album Launch

The Bombadils have just released a beautiful new album, "Dear Friend"! You can check it out here: https://thebombadils.com/music. I contributed some harp sounds to Bicycle, Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming, Losing Track of Time, and the title track, Dear Friend. 

This weekend, we did two lovely launch shows in Halifax and Sackville.

The Bombadils just released a new video for their song "Bicycle"! I had the pleasure of joining them for this video along with Scott Kingsley on bass.

Last weekend I headed up to Sydney with The Bombadils to participate in Nova Scotia Music Week. We did a showcase at the beautiful Highland Arts Theatre!

Bombadils Summer Performances

I joined the Bombadils for three fun performances this August. We played at the Evergreen Theatre in Margaretsville, at the Dartmouth Summer Sunshine Series on the waterfront, and at a backyard house concert in Fleming Heights. Looking forward to more coming up this fall, and to the band's upcoming album release in October!

Losing Track of Time - Live at the Log Cabin

 A beautiful outdoor concert series has been ongoing on the Dartmouth waterfront this year: The Summer Sunshine Series. I had a great time playing with the Bombadils for their August 7th show!

Lunenburg Opera House with the Bombadils

Last weekend, I joined the Bombadils for a distanced live show at the Lunenburg Opera House, put on by the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society. It was my first time in that beautiful space! It was surreal and wonderful to play live for an audience again. This video of the performance will be available until next Wednesday.
